There is an often overlooked piece of evidence that supports this notion. Matthew 24 is quite obviously just an almost verbatim copy of Mark 13. The difference is that Matthew adds a few parables with the same theme - keep waiting, even if it seems like the Master's return has been delayed (Matt 24:48 for example). Why is that? The Gospel of Mark most likely dates from AD 70, since it mentions the destruction of the Temple. Mark equates this event with the 'abomination of desolation' mentioned in Daniel (Mark 13:14). If the author of Mark was following Daniel's chronology, he most likely expected the end of the world to happen three-and-a-half years later, sometime in AD 73/74. This would be about forty years after Jesus' death, so the prediction that some of his followers would still be alive to see the Kingdom was still plausible. By the time that Matthew wrote his gospel, some twenty years after Mark, this prediction was in serious jeopardy, and the believers were beginning to get nervous. And this is the exact reason that Matthew included the parables. He was telling the faithful to keep watching, even if it seemed that the Kingdom had been delayed. There was obviously no reason to add the parables if it weren't for the fact that the early Christians expected Jesus to return within his own generation.

But the history is faulty. The fact is that from Paul’s day (in the book of Acts) there were Jews in “every city” that read the Torah on Sabbath. Acts 15:21 For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day. Jews had been scattered by Assyria and Babylon, long before the rise of the Romans. They were important persons in Persia and in Africa in lands not subject to Rome. Now think this through: There is no way that one million Jews scattered all over the world could, simultaneously, be convinced to change their method of Sabbath keeping without abundant historical evidence being left behind to prove it. But more than this, the gospel was carried to every part of the known world during the first century. He says this every single day . He doesn't say morning and evening was the next day . There is a time before dawn called morning and sunrise called day as there is a time bewtwen evenings called twillight and sundown called evening. The book of Jubilees goes into very specific details on the times to keep the passover. The Pentateuch also used the word twillight between evenings. Regulations regarding the Passover (xlix. 1-23; cf. Exod. xii.). XLIX. Remember the commandment which the Lord commanded thee concerning the passover, that thou shouldst celebrate it in its season on the fourteenth of the first month, that thou shouldst kill it before it is evening, and that they should eat it by night on the evening 4 of the fifteenth from the time of the setting of the sun. 2. You ALMOST got IT. Don't you know that on the 16th of Every 30-day or about every "2ND" Lunar Month was a "Full-White-New-Moon-Day"? The 1st "Full-Black-New-Moon-Day" was day-1 of every lunar month and to keep in step with the 30-day lunar months AFTER New-Black-moon+6+1+6+1 there would be a New-White-moon-day as well on the 16th. Thus, Yeshua our Messiah was physically dead over 3-day-times and 3-night-times just as He said the sign would be. Jesus' resurrection was just at, or just as the 1st day of the week (the day-night 17th) had almost started or about to start, when He began to rise LATE on His 16th New-White-moon-day-sabbath. I fully agree that there is absolutely no way that a day can start at sunset, and for the exact reasons that you've stated, and then some. I also fully agree with the Sabbath hours being the daytime hours only, and for the reasons you gave, and then some. I do have two questions/points to make: If the sun was made to rule the day, and the moon was made to rule the stars of the night, and it is an absolute (meaning that it has been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt) that stars/planets can NEVER be seen during the day, how does one explain the fact that some stars/planets can definitely be seen at DAWN? Also... According to Scripture, there are four (4) watches of the night. How exactly are they divided?

People overwhelmingly write about current events or events they expect in the near future because that's what is relevant to them and their audience. The available evidence (linguistic analysis, it being in the later 'Writings' section of the Tanakh instead of 'Prophets' section, no one having heard of the Book of Daniel until the 2nd century BC, the internal explanation for why no one knows it, the popularity of apocalyptic literature in that time period, the links with 1/2 Maccabees, etc) points towards the Maccabean era. If we look elsewhere in Daniel, it is very apparent that the writer of the apocalyptic portions is very clearly concerned with the Antiochene Crisis. Chapter 8 involves a dream focused on a "Little Horn" who is arrogant, attacks Jerusalem, takes away the Temple sacrifices, and replaces them with a desolating sacrilege for a short period of time before God intervenes and things are fixed. The Little Horn emerges from one of four horns following a single broken horn of a goat that is explicitly said to be Greece after the fall of Media and Persia. The single broken horn is Alexander the Great. The four horns that follow him 'breaking' are the Diadochi factions. Antiochus IV was a king of the Seleucids, which were one of those four factions. Antiochus was arrogant, attacked Jerusalem, took away the Temple sacrifices, and replaced them with a desolating sacrilege. This chapter is about him. Chapter 11 is an even more detailed history of the Alexander's Greek empire being divided and the subsequent conflicts involving the Seleucid and Ptolemaic factions. And it culminates with a final "King of the North" who is arrogant, attacks Jerusalem, takes away the Temple sacrifices, and replaces them with a desolating sacrilege before God intervenes and he is killed. Chapter 7 involves a dream with four kingdoms represented as beasts. The fourth and final beast has a "Little Horn" that is arrogant, attacks the Jewish people, and messes with their rituals before God intervenes. So in chapter 9, where we have a prophecy about an evil "prince to come" who attacks Jerusalem, takes away the Temple sacrifices, and replaces them with a desolating sacrilege before God intervenes and sets things right, we should absolutely expect it to about the same thing as the other chapters. Chapter 9 doesn't involve the Messiah. It says there will be an "anointed prince" 49 years into the prophecy, and then an "anointed one" who dies at 483 year mark. The former is very likely a reference Zerubabbel (possibly Jacob) leading the Jewish people back to Jerusalem and the latter is High Priest Onias III whose death was a huge blow to the Jewish people in Antiochus IV's era. The main absurdity in making the vision apply to Jesus is that it ignores the parallels with ch. 11 and posits events that do not fit with Jesus' life. The vision in ch. 9 establishes that the final week begins with the killing of an anointed one (= 11:22) and the alliance made between the "ruler who is to come" and the multitude (= 11:30), which would last for seven years. Then at the midpoint of the week, his forces desolate the city and sanctuary, installing the abomination of desolation in the sanctuary and suppressing sacrifice and offering (= 11:31). This lasts only 3 1/2 years until the 70 weeks of years are complete when "the predetermined destruction is poured out on the desolator." If Jesus is the anointed one who is cut off, then..... 1) who is the "ruler who is to come" who makes a pact with the multitude at that time? 2) how was sacrifice stopped by this ruler 3 1/2 years after the crucifixion at which time the Temple is desolated by the abomination of desolation? 3) and what happened 7 years after the crucifixion that restored sacrifice and restored the Temple and killed this ruler? This does not fit at all with the story of Jesus. It does however match what Daniel 11:21-45 says regarding Antiochus Epiphanes.

The problem with others who follow the zadok or other calendar... they don't care what the 7th day is called. So if the day was called Friday or any other day of the week, they wouldn't care. They say the 7th day of the week has been continuous since the beginning. I have yet to hear or see anyone with the sun moon calendar address this. I follow the sun moon calendar, similar to WLC, Matthew Janzen, Troy Miller.

It is my understanding that Messiah Yahsuha rose at the end of Saturday. Filling the prophecy of Him being 3 nights and 3 days in the heart of the earth.

One of the first reason's I rejected the idea of the divinity of Yahushua's earth walk was the it implied that Yah made a mistake when He created Adam without divinity so He corrected His error by sending a god/man who would be able live a sinless life because the first Adam couldn't. Also since Yahushua claimed to be the Light of the world he was created on the first day and therefore couldn't be what the Trinity doctrine claims Yahushua to be without beginning...How can a son have no beginning?

I am a Sabbath keeper and I've studied this subject. I am honestly seeking the truth. Please show..... 1. How the sabbath was created based on a lunar cycle. (the luminaries were placed in the raquia 3 days before the Sabbath. How does that fit?) 2.Did not Yeshua keep the same Sabbath as the jews? I say yes... and the gregorian change did NOT change that repeating 7th day. I'm to do what my savior did. Did he get it wrong? Was the day He observed changed w/o me knowing?
